Exodus 17:10-13
Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought against Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed, and when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed.
But Moses’ hands were heavy. Then they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other. Thus his hands were steady until the sun set.
So Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people.
We love this picture of support. We are so interdependent as humans, and as the Body of Christ. We are made each having a role to play in order to see success in the battles we’re called to. Some of us are Joshua and his foot soldiers, engaged in the hot, bloody battle on the field. Some of us are Moses, standing before God in steadfast intercession and faith. Some of us are Aaron and Hur, completely present and critically engaged with the necessary task of supporting. Without this real presence, the enemy can prevail. We also tend to have different roles at different times, and must be attentive to our current assignment.

We praise God for His people; you are our family walking this road with us. We praise Him for the intricate diversity He has designed, and how we each play different roles in His awesome works on earth. We praise Him for the grace and adventure of walking by faith and interdependence on His Body. What a story, and what a joy!
We love you and thank you.
